Gallery: 3D Modeling & Animation
A collection of projects and assignments from studying simulation and game development fundamentals and visual production. Feel free to rotate and zoom to see each project from different angles, cycle through different available animations, and see other, smaller pieces on Sketchfab.
ANIMATION: Cheeky Chest
Modeling an instructor-provided model for a chest animation. I took inspiration from Rare games to give the chest bouncy movements and a cheeky personality, taunting the player in response to a failed interaction.
MODEL: Modular Props
Stylized modular props for creating village buildings, paths and walls with a German Fachwerk inspiration.
ANIMATION: AZRI Idle / Walk / Run Cycles
Student work using Game Anim’s free AZRI rig.
ANIMATION: AZRI Secondary Cycles
Student work using Game Anim’s free AZRI rig showcasing the use of animation layers to incorporate additional actions over the previously modeled walk cycle.
ANIMATION: Robot Arm
Giving personality and incorporating storytelling into an instructor-provided model. The goal was to create a loop, personify the mechanical arm, and communicate mass with the smaller shapes as the models interact.
ANIMATION: Patrol-Bot Loops
Animating an instructor-provided model to give personality and practice looping. This features a cute swaying idle, flying, and a bashful “false alarm” alert animation.
MODEL, ANIMATION: Winged Staff Concept
I designed, modeled and animated a staff exploring concepts for a magical-girl inspired MMOBA. The staff would swap between weapon modes, going from a more battleaxe inspired folded mode into a more open “magical crossbow” configuration to give players a ranged attack option.
MODEL: Fishmobile
Concept for a goofy, single-occupancy submarine based on bug-eyed goldfish and old, rusty junk cars.
MODEL: Scarecrow’s Night Off Diorama
Diorama model with storytelling.
MODEL: Chessboard
Timed assignment to model and texture objects within the exam time frame.
